September 23: London Goes Car Free

http://www.londonfreewheel.com/

well, not completely...but it's a start

This map show the circuit of London streets that will be open only to cyclists

The entire route is only nine miles in total. So it’s not some gruelling cycle marathon, it’s just a nice day out for the whole family.

However, it's not just about cycling this route. According to organisers, getting there will be half the fun, with a host of Freewheel Hubs around the capital where people can meet up and cycle in together. Plus, once you get there, you can stop off and chill out at The Freewheel Festival.

Maybe I posted this in the wrong forum...

I figured this was advocacy, maybe the phrase 'car free' in the title misled folks...

I'm already booked in and going. Quite looking forward to an easy jaunt through central London on a Sunday really although the afterparty sounds like more fun than the ride...
