Biking Champs Elysees
Development plans in Baltimore will sometimes use the example of Champs Elysees as just how good a car sewer can be. I am curious to know what people think that have biked there. To me it looks like any other major boulevard, not exactly the most desirable place to bike though the sidewalks look wide enough that a cyclist would probably use those to reach a destination on Champs Elysees.

Bike ≠ Car ≠ Ped.
(still haven't figured out the term "car sewer"..)
I haven't biked there, but on the sidewalks, I'd pretty much only walk the bike since EVERYbody visiting Paris walks there at one point or another during the day.
The circle around the Arc d'Triomphe is alternately packed and empty with traffic depending on the cycle of the lights, and pedestrians wishing to visit the Arc are greatly encouraged to use a tunnel underneath the roadway. Otherwise, getting around the traffic circle means crossing the signaled intersections around it.
But anyway... as far as biking on the Champs-Élysées, I'd ride on the street, and walk the bike on the sidewalk.
