The statement that I simply noted was wrong. I even tried being nice about it.
Okay, jeeze... if we are going to be that pedantic I guess I'll have to amicably modify it a bit. After all, there are also some people in places that can still purchase beverages in ceramic and/or other vitrified earthenware containers, and I left that out too. Wait a second. You wrote, "I even tried being nice about it." That's a strange disclaimer. I mean, it implies a failed intent. So we weren't being nice. I completely miss read your comment. Oh, I'm going to have to modify my response now.

I don't think so. Drivers are bad but they don't throw things at you. They actually quite like cycling here.

That could make things worse with the rednecks. If your wearing the number of a driver they don't like, they might try to run you over.

Must be nice! I'm really not sure what the rednecks here have against cycling. They often end up on mopeds due to driving drunk. Then we can pass them on our bikes and throw water bottles at them.

I hear Italy is nice for cycling. I'll have to plan a trip and take my bike. Any suggestions on good places to ride. I've never been.

I've only been here for 6 months and all of my riding has been around Milan (flat and boring). I think the best places are probably the lakes , such as Como, and the Dolomites. I think Botto has done some riding around the Dolomites. The Madonna di Ghisallo isn't too far from Como also.
