"Don't you know I'm saving the planet?" barely controlling my anger. Then she threatened to call the cops. All cyclists should boycott Waffle House until she apologizes to me and/or gives me a free pecan waffle. I bet she voted for Bush, stupid *****.
It might have been more effective to have calmly said "then I won't be giving you my patronage" and left quietly.

Anyway, you don't have a magical right to store your bike inside; especially if they provide a reasonable place to lock up (like a decent rack, or something that works just as well).
Heck, you don't even have a right to that!

It will be even more funny a couple years from now when some noob resurrects this thread. Then we'll get another page or two of serious replies!

You could replace the words "Waffle House" for bank, grocery store, lecture hall, etcetera, and you'd have the type of thread that shows up once or twice a week in A&S. Get your heads out of your collective asses.

I was pleasantly surprised there were not more people who agreed with me, although I was being a little over the top, but from now on, when I see a numbskull thread where somebody is whining because they weren't allowed to bring their bicycle into ______, I'm just going to link to this thread.
Without the <sarcasm> tags I take a post at face value. Are surprised that many other people did as well?

I'm not surprised at anything after reading the posts of people on BF who insist that the most preposterous conjuring about bicycling be taken at face value, especially if dressed up with a label of science, "selected data," cultural implications,or psycho-babble phrases.
