Positive article in RD... 4 views of a bicycle

In Readers Digest, a short picture article explores 4 very different bikes and uses in a pictorial with quite diverse uses.

    I'm disappointed. Apparently we're:
    1. Saving starving poor folks.
    2. Wasting money on seemingly pointless designs.
    3. Dying often.
    4. French.

No offense to French folks, but in the U.S. "French" means "odd."

Maybe they intended well. But it felt like another "Bicycles aren't for you" piece.

Yeah it was a bit disappointing to not see a lycra clad cyclist so "typical" of the less then 2% of cyclists that represent US cyclists.

What were you expecting of a country that is addicted to oil?
