My first ride out with the new bike and first accident
...not even 5 minutes after leaving the house...wtf (sorry for language).
Today at around lunch time or so, i decided to take my bike out for its first full ride, as i come to this somewhat busy but fully controlled by lights intersection, i wait, normally, all good, then as i go and i have the right to go and i approach the other side of the street's curve to get on the sidewalk leading to the path...a FAT f* in his cadillac just comes stopping like a mad horse on a bad race day and stops way way after the pedestrian lines and i am almost a feet past his bumper.
I obviously have to run out of his fat way, and i as i have too many things in my head to do upon this, i scratch my wheels on the curve...nice
Obviously, i fell down on the pavement, his stupid arse just stops sees no car and goes on his way, trying to rush through to not get caught by oncoming traffic.
Not even a look and yep, obviously, he is racing down the street again as i look by and i have not even time to catch his plate.
I so wish a cop was there, but not there when needed...
Anyway, as these scratches happened on the brake tracks my braking on both wheels are not so great great but ok for now...searching for a good set.
Thats just one of things that might happen when riding. Things just happen in life and even know it sucks they do, their still going to happen either way. To bad you could not get the plates because people like that should have to learn a lesson.
Stinks that it was on ur first ride of your new bike. But you could look at it this way, it could have been much more damage to your bike.
Had a friend couple years back that bought a new motorcycle. 250 feet from picking it up he got hit from behind and it wrecked his bike (it was a wright off do to the damage to the back). So stuff just happens, he could not have done anything different.
So i add another accident to the same intersection, different driver and plus more things:
Day starts out going for a bike ride, ride a couple of miles, tire pressure is down...great!...
Second thing is the crankset on my bike is busted or dented "in" at one section so when i pedal at that bent, the chain passes the derailleur and it scratches it.
Third, i start out using my new shoes and pedals i bought and i am of course learning to get out of my pedals and such.
Anyway, it rained during my ride, not much, probalby 8 miles if that or damn less, so i was coming back home, i get to the same damn intersection and i have once again checked every aspect of pedestrian/biker right of way and i am watching closely to the driver of the car and they f* no way see me coming, i am not big or i look like a monster, but i can be seen. Well, as i have a new set of pedals and shoes and it is literally my first time out, i see that i can make it and sure enough they stop way way beyond the line for people and i had to fall to the right side of me (street) and i am now 8 inches away from that car as it is about to roll, my head towards it.
Oh, wait, i forgot, the damn driver goes slowly, i quickly get off my pedals, get up and sure, OF COURSE, they drive away, lalalalalala boo boob boo, like their **** don't stink!
that is it, no more riding to the close as hell to me busse woods, I AM DRIVING and then riding from their parking lot, bunch of stupid F*s out in this schaumburg/elk grove village area, they are a bunch of spoiled little rats...
sorry, i had to vent...
