OK on a road training course for my son he is 6 a me are setting up for a turn When a volvo tries to pass and almost hits the oncoming car. Dives back into OUR lane forcing both of us to trackstand and then turns down the street we where going to turn on.

total span of distance 50 ft.

we make our turn she is stopped in the road.
And starts giving me flack buy starting out by saying. "I dont know who had the right of way? "
I tell her we did
Then she tells me i am unfit as a father because i was out riding with my son.
I tell here that when you are in a car like this you still have to follow the rules of the road
of which she took that as "rich volvo" when i was thinking "super safe volvo"
at that point i tell my son to mount up and we ride away.

We did anouther 3 laps or the .5 mile trail road course.

then we had a good laugh

The most flagrant aggression I've ever had from a driver was from a woman driving an old Volvo wagon that had "liberal" written all over it.

I almost caught her at the light.

Glad you and your son are safe.

How pathetic am I, to be jealous of a 6-y-o? I can maintain if just barely rolling, but not stopped....

(no, don't tell me to get out and practice -- people don't frickin' leave me alone long enough anymore!)

Hey, if someone had been writing all over her car, no wonder she was pissed! ;-)

Speaking of track stands, one of the funniest things I've ever seen was a rider trying to show off at the start of a charity ride by track standing at the first light we came to. We were still all bunched up since we were only about a mile into the ride so there were about 30 witnesses. Well, we all unclipped to wait out what turned out to be a lengthy light while this joker tried to hold on. After about 30 seconds - down he went!

Now, if I think the light's about to change I'll hold it for a while (especially if I'm alone) but this guy was obviously trying to showboat and got his dignity handed to him. I still chuckle when I think about it.
