Has a blog ever been used as corroborating evidence?

A lot of cyclist hater blogs and you tube videos are posted on here. I wonder if any of these people have subsequently assaulted a cyclist and had a youtube, myspace, or blog post be discovered with their ranting.

At my friend's job, a big wig manager was supposed to be at a satellite office for a week. When called upon and no one had seen him, an employee checked his facebook account. There he is in Hawaii. He no longer has a job. I love the internetz.

Last week I read an article in a professional journal about not putting any information on the internet you dont want your future or current employer to see. Seems many HR departments search the web just for that reason.

I have never posted my real name on the Internet even once. Luckily too, there are a couple of very famous people with my exact name, so any search for me will lead to thousands of dead ends.

Some of these bloggers do use their names though. Such as the one Joeybike linked to in his thread "Why I ride like I do #1 and #2". He openly states that he can't wait to closeline a cyclist by opening his door into their path. What's funnier is that he doesn't believe it's his duty to look out for vehicles before he opens his door. He made another comment further down in the blog about how he right hooked some cyclist whom he just had an argument with. The blogger felt vindicated because he used his turn signal. Mm kay.

This reminds of the trigger happy folks who can't wait to blast someone away due to imminent danger laws. Difference is, the blogger hasn't found some loophole to injure a cyclist because his justifications are still illegal. He needs to just plow into them from behind and say he didn't see em. Duh.

I don't know that you'd be able to do that unless the idiot in question posted a video blog of their assault. . .most of those don't have the common sense to operate a blog and therefore are confined to YouTube.
