Finding out Vehicles Ins. Info From Crash?

So I was in an accident last week, link below gives description. I picked up the police report and it doesn't give the drivers insurance info. It has her DL # and name and address, but that is all.

I was hoping to be able to get my property damage covered. Should this have been included, and any ideas on how I can find this out?

OUCH, had my 1st crash w/ SUV.

I'd ask the Driver, but Ph #'s arent included on police reports.

OK, if you don't have an insurance agent to help, then you contact the police and request an insurance report referencing the police report. It may take several weeks.

That's the problem, that page of the report isn't completed. Just has my name and address, not the drivers info.

It has a report number, right? That is all you need to request further information.

In the future, carry a copy of your own auto insurance card, and EXCHANGE policy numbers if an accident occurs.
(I assume you drive a car too).

Call the precinct and give them the incident number, and the plate number and name of the driver. That's what i had to do last week in order to get the insurance information on the guy that hit me.

Oh, come on. Who carries an insurance card while cycling?
