neither cyclist is in focus?

they're riding the wrong way if it's a two way street (except where mandated by local regulation)

There is a second cyclist behind the cyclist, totally blocked from view (I can only see his/her shadow).

There are going the wrong way.

No helmets.

Some people might be disappointed to find out they were thinking of a different kind of "budd" at the Woodlawn address.

the bicyclists feel safe enough riding they are all over the road and admittedly riding on the wrong side?

sometimes, when there's no traffic, I'll be fourty, fifty feet away from the curb on a wide road. I've done fourty miles an hour on the wrong side of the yellow line when there was no one on the road.....

Also, crossing over and riding on the wrong side to make a 'short turn' is also an oft-utilized bike technique, albeit it can be slightly risky.

There's nowhere near enough context to determine if the cyclists were truly risking their lives and placing (non-existant) traffic into collision avoidance mode, or if they were just meandering like people should be allowed to do along public rights of way. sure, autocentric rules predicate no riding on the wrong side of the road, but how bad is it really?

whats truly wrong with the picture? the fact someone deemed it noteworthy enough to post criticism of on the intermenets.

Totally the wrong kind of bike for the rider? -heavy MTB tires and useless front suspension when doing the 'casual' weekend ride?

They're completely oblivious to the angst this photo is causing in the AnS forum?

Cool, a bicyclist riding against traffic, another opportunity for me to "take the lane"

shants = Depends (for 50+ BF'rs; padding and the added benefit of not having to stop on a century)

Fat knobby tires are an insult to pavement? Also, keep the flat handlebar pics to the touring forum, drops should be required here.

There is a ninja cyclist hiding behind the first cyclist. Better go up a few threads and get one of those free light do-gooders to get over to this thread asap.
