I think you have to appreciate how frustrated a cager can get when cyclists are getting in his way. I mean, he literally ran over the median and then proceeded to run over the guys foot and then just bash his way through the column of cyclists...

Better than normal day at Critical Mass.

Why would you 'appreciate' that ?
Sorry, this idiots time is no more valuable than anyone elses
unless hes off to cure world hunger or cancer.

Old fleabags block the aisle in the supermarket but I dont hit them
with my cart or punch them in the face to move them out of the way.
Police stop cars at the scene of an accident or construction site....
No ones hits them to get to the stop lite faster....

The a-hole coulda have made a left onto a side street at any time.

No excuse for an idiots insanely violent behaviour.

What law were they breaking ?
Lots of car ppl hate bikes. period.
There is no image makeover or manipulating
anyone, you me, Ghandi, whoever, can do to
change that. You dont assault and harm another human
because of an inconvenience you dont approve of.
Lots of stuff inconveniences people. Everyone has their own list
of undesirable stuff. If something bothers you so much that you get
violent over it, it is a 'you' problem, only.

Hmmmm, a demonstration, as admitted by a participant. Maybe it's time to get them off the streets for demonstrating without a permit. They are also intentionally blocking faster traffic from getting by. That's even illegal in a motor vehicle.
This is an old video.

Doesn't look like this was in North Korea or Iran... Maybe I was mistaken?

Permits are required in the U.S. for using the streets for demonstrations or anything that would disrupt the normal activities in the area. You can check your local laws for this. I have a right enumerated in the US Constitution to own firearms, but I wonder how many people would freak out if I strapped on a .44 Magnum in plain sight in a holster and walked down the sidewalk along the same street in the video. There are two lanes in the video, and the right one is plenty wide enough for the number of cyclists in the video, without purposely blocking other citizens from going about their daily business.
