do you consider drunk driving a form of aggressive driving? do you consider speeding to be a form of aggressive driving?
i know some of the defenitions of aggressive driving include speeding and drunk driving an some do not.

DUI is not aggressive driving. A label of impaired is probably more accurate.

Speeding is a form of aggressive driving ... although this is something continuous instead of an all or nothing label.

For a layperson, yes. Although I wonder whether there are legal ramifications to the label.

No. Speeding isn't necessarily aggressive. Swerving through traffic in order to speed is aggressive. And drunk driving is very much not aggressive: It's stupid. Drunk drivers often try too hard to be conscientious but they're terrible at it because they're drunk: Their speed varies too much when trying to drive the speed limit, they waver in their lane when trying to drive straight, etc.

Drunk driving is worse than aggressive driving. Speeding is, IMO, not a big deal until you hit an intersection or have to pass someone. Excessive speeding (the point at which you lose your license if you're caught) is always ridiculous though.

I have been known to drive at a high rate of speed, but I don't think that alone is sufficient to be characterized as aggressive driving. I feel that aggressive driving requires a disregard for the needs of other drivers, often to the extent of bullying. For example, one time I was passing a car on a two lane interstate. Another driver was approaching from behind at a high rate of speed. I signaled and moved into the right lane, but it wasn't fast enough for the other driver, and we both ended up in the same lane at the same time.

This was just an extreme case of something that is very common. Often, when an aggressive driver has been sitting behind me as I complete a pass, and I move to the right lane, the driver behind me is using as much of the left lane as I have left clear in order to pass as soon as possible. This seems like bullying to me. Generally, when I know that another driver wants to pass me, I will speed up and make a pass as quickly as is prudent. I do not sit next to traffic in the other lane and block traffic if I can do anything to avoid it, because that drives me nuts when people do it to me.

Speeding is aggressive, when a driver blows by me at high speed. Speeding on a lonely stretch of road ... maybe not.

Drunken driving is aggressive is you act like an sSS behind the wheel and put others at danger. A likely scenario, but not always.
