Looking for suggestions

I have seen all of the "How do you respond to aggressive drivers" threads, and "What do you do" threads in the commuting section. After getting yelled at and told to ride on the F***ing sidewalk and then buzzed 5 times in less than 1 minute (prompting me to take the lane) on Friday, I have decided to do an educational webpage.

I am looking for suggestions of things to put on the page and links to laws, etc.

The page will start out just for Texas (as that is where I am), but I would like to grow it.

My idea is to have a shirt with the url printer in LARGE letters on the back, and cards that I can carry and easily access to hand to "jerks" at the stoplights.

There is not much on the site yet, as I only registered it last night, but I want to make the shirts available and the cards as well. Hopefully we can attempt to educate some more of the public.

The site is: Bikes Are Vehicles

It is part of road riding.
Each incident is different.
Seems you might be wasting your time.

Perhaps, but if I affect one person, then the whole thing is worth it.

I went riding yesterday, and in about 40 miles was 'buzzed' once. 10 minutes later the same guy pulled up in front of me, stopped, rolled down his window and apologized, explaining that his son was practicing for his driving test and hadn't learn to judge the width of the car very well yet. We talked for a few minutes then each went on our way.

A half dozen of those cards would last me for years. Just not enough 'jerks' around here. Guess they must all be in Texas.

It seems to me that there are not many people in the A&S board that want to make a difference.

Seems you already have the answer you apparently are looking for. Little educational cards won't do much considering most of the buzzers are probably travelling at least twice your speed meaning you'll never catch up to them. If taking the lane keeps you from getting buzzed, what's keeping you from taking the lane before the first buzz?

There is a lady in Florida that made up cards and handed them out to motorist and police, She was happy with the results she got.

Has links to laws, it could help start you off, but many of the links are dead. Maybe pass on good links if you find them to that site.
