A drunk drives home with someone embedded in his windshield

It was a pedestrian, but could just as easily have been a cyclist:

A U.S. motorist has been charged with hitting a man with his car and then driving for more than a mile with the victim stuck in his windshield.
Christopher Swiridowsky drove into the group of three men standing on the side of a motorway in Providence, Rhode Island, police said today.
One of the men became trapped in his windshield. But, astonishingly, Swiridowsky drove on, only stopping because he realised someone was following him.

That guy is a real winner.

I'm just thinking, I don't know if this guy has a suspended license, but in cases where someone IS driving on a suspended license, I would think that impounding and possibly even selling their car at public auction would be justified. If you can't stay out from behind the wheel, we'll take the wheel away from you.

I believe that there are some countries that will seize your car in cases of negligent driving.

A chillingly similar incident happened several years ago -- a female driver struck a cyclist, he was also lodged in the windshield, she drove home. The cyclist died that time. I don't have more details anymore, it's been too long, but I remember reading the story.

I remember that story, she was a nurse too. Instead of getting help she parked the car in her garage and left the guy for dead.

Some people just aren't right.

They used that for an episode of CSI. Only in the show the person who was hit was trying to commit suicide. I can think of less painful ways then stepping out in front of a car.
