I hope they catch that guy and that everyone he threatened comes forward as witnesses against him.

Somebody in an even bigger truck needs to start running him off the road. After all, if he feels he's got the right to run bikes off the road just because he's bigger, he certainly has no right to complain if someone comes along in a semi tractor that wants to run him into the ditch for being in their way, right?

Yes. That's what's making it so hard to distinguish exactly who this guy is. BTW, some of us are barefoot running aficionados, too. YeeeeHawwwww.

I think the guy has migrated to South Carolina - I had him roar past me the other day.

We epitomize redneck, so he blends right in. I fear he may never be caught.

I was pleasantly surprised a couple of weeks ago. After a cyclist was badly injured in a hit-and-run with a pickup involved here, and the police found a mirror from the vehicle at the scene, the next Sunday at church two different people who had similar pickups said that the police had visited them to look at their trucks. Apparently they took it seriously, did a DMV search and went to look at every similar truck. I don't know how it turned out though.

I'm assuming you mean Jason from Great Lakes Cycling, stopped in there yesterday, he is getting better and they expect him to be back to work in a few weeks, but no word on the person driving the truck yet...

I hope local riders are letting the station know how much they appreciate the news piece. Though news outlets are well accustomed to criticism and attack they are highly vulnerable to praise.

Dark haired, fat white guy in a pick up truck. Should be easy to spot in the KY.

Apparently they found him:

I'm confused. He was charged but not arrested?

Robert Wagner?! @*!# I loved him in "It Takes a Thief"! I thought it would have been one of those dang Duke boys.

Seriously though. They should bind and blindfold this knucklehead and push him off a rooftop......a couple of times. Just a suggestion.

My vote is they should force him to drive a smart car for the rest of his life. Or the ***dozer from idiocracy :-D.

Arresting the guy now would start the clock on the "speedy trial" thing. Since they know he has done way more, they want to build as many of those cases as they can before the arrest.

, with a video link to the right. Apparently he signed a confession, but now he's claiming innocence on the basis that his truck doesn't exactly match the descriptions. Of course, if you go back to the original news articles, you'll find that the cyclists did suspect multiple vehicles involved.

Lifted, extended cab pickup with smokestacks...somehow, I'm not particularly surprised. When I lived in Cincinnati, a similar pickup truck (lifted and with smokestacks) blew a massive cloud of black soot while passing.

This is what people always say, although I've never seen any follow up stories in cases like this where they actually go back and arrest the person and give them lots and lots of jail time.
