Anyone ride in Oakland?

Around Lake Merritt? Have you seen these new rainbow arrows painted about the bike lane? What's up with those? They seem to be for us, like suggestions(go straight, you're cool here, hug the curb, etc.). Just curious about their origins.

They're directions for a big organized ride held there recently. I don't remember the name of it. Different colors are directions for the different mileage rides.
Or, maybe they're directional signals for the "black helicopters".

There's a ride coming up this Sunday: the Bike Against the Odds. Breast Cancer benefit. Partly sponsored by the Oakland Yellowjackets.

No, no. The Chinese U.N. troops will take readings from the reflective strips on the backs of street signs, and radio up to the choppers.
