Bike lane must turn right

I thought some of you might enjoy this: Wrong right turn-lanes in College Park on Washcycle

Lots of poorly implemented bicycling "accommodations" (probably courtesy of the Department of Public Works (generally DOTs are not this bad.))

I hope the bike lane obeys the law - but what should cyclists do?

+1. Isn't the sign just saying to only follow the bike lane to the right of the RTOL is you are turning right? If you want to go straight, don't stay in the bike lane.

You gave me another reason, not to bike in Prince Georges County(MD). Not only do they have a bad crime rate, now they have bad bicycle signage.

Seems reasonable. Shouldn't all bike lanes that extend all the way to an intersection and when they are the right most lane be right turn only lanes?

Yes, they should be. But I think that the implication here is that the sign is just there to cover for their piss-poor bike lane design in violation of destination positioning principles.

Black on white signs are regulatory, so by law you have to obey them. We also have a mandatory bike lane law, while it has exceptions for leaving the bike lane, to go straight is not one of them. IMHO if you get a ticket or into an accident going straight at that intersection you'll have one nasty hairball of a argument to present
