Cyclist Struck In Vancouver BC

This from the Province newspaper this morning:

A cyclist is in serious condition in hospital after being struck by a vehicle in the intersection of Main and Terminal streets shortly after 7:30 a.m. on Sunday.

The driver remained at the scene and called 911, with emergency personnel responding.

Vancouver police are investigating the accident and asking anyone who may witnessed it or have any information to contact the Collision Investigation Unit at 604-717-3012.

I have an online friend in Vancouver BC, but I doubt she would have any info since she is not a cyclist.

At least the motorist not only hung around but they called 911.

How is the cyclist doing?

Around that time, my friend was telling me more accidents happen around the DST changes.

Main and Terminal is a pretty busy intersection, 7 lanes on each street and heavy traffic, as well as a skytrain station so it's pretty chaotic. I'm glad the motorist stopped to help..
