And as has been pointed out, your little encounter did not seem like a very BIG deal. Seemed like more of a so what.

Yes, I am inclined to agree. Because, If I am about to cross at the crosswalk, I find that the right-turn traffic will not pay attention to the possibility of pedestrians, if there is high-speed traffic. They just don't care. Like pedestrians are just 'collateral damage'.

I have the MiNewt 600 for my headlight. Having two of them for 'headlights', would be overkill. So, No typo. But possible confusion understandable.

You wouldn't want vehicles' doing that, if you were a pedestrian. So, Why should a cyclist be allowed to roll through a red light.
