They are not aliens. They are human beings. I'll also remind you that California was Mexico's before the US stole it.

Just saying you're educated while making these claims means exactly jack; certify your claims or shut it. Let's see a code that says that...from ANYWHERE in the country. Your claim, your burden of proof.

The guy is going to get RICH from this. Definitely enough to pay off his mortgage/buy another house outright. When the Police here in Portland go on rampages (they do every couple of months), they end up getting sued for huge amounts, and many people have won $200k+ lawsuits. I bet it wouldn't be much of a stretch to think that for many viewers of this video they wish it were them being clobbered by the police.

I'm not sure how things work in Canada, but in the US you have to prove actual damages to get an award, and it doesn't look like he suffered $200,000 worth of damages. Note that (again, in the US) the winner in a civil rights suit is entitled to attorneys fees, which are often greater than the actual damages - meaning that the city could well pay out $200,000 for a civil rights suit, but the injured person only receives a small amount of that. (This is a feature, not a bug).

They are human beings that are in America illegally.

You might want to learn a little more about history though.

You mean the 'Mexico' that stole it form the American Indians? Now lets please drop the side bar.

BMW driver in Beverly Hills = illegal alien? lolwut?

The suspect was described as a Middle-Eastern American or white man in his mid-30s, with dark hair, dark eyes and a thin build.
So, clearly it was a terrorist and not an illegal.. jeez..

I think the majority of the population of Beverly Hills is of Iranian decent. The Persians loooove BMW's.

I think the moral of story is to ride on the sidewalk for a while after punching a driver.

Wave and smile. Never let an idiot ruin a nice ride.

Right of Way and Bikes Belong laws are not a magic barrier against metal.

You (or your survivors) may win in the courtroom but crippled/dead is still crippled/dead.

In California there is no distinction between violent and non-violent resisting. You can be arrested under the same code for either one.

Pain and suffering damages are subjective, and when its large corporations and governmental entities with large cash reserves, juries tend not to concern themselves with the actual out of pocket costs and focus more on how much is needed to "send a message." (In US).

Watch out for white BMW's in Beverly Hills!

https://www.grindtv.com/outdoor/excur...beverly-hills/
Sick! Hope the BMW.driver gets what he deserves very soon.
It's at least assault with a deadly 3000+ pound weapon.
The punch in the face from the cyclist earlier is a stupid thing to do too, but this squashing by car is tons more violent and lethal.....

Yeah don't punch drivers and think they won't run you down. If you feel the need to punch them then have a good escape route or beat them senseless so they can't come after you. Seriously though don't do it unless it is the very last resort like a self defense scenario. I like BykOfALesserGod's idea of giving a wave and a smile and not let idiots ruin your ride.

A guy cut in front of me today, Turned Left in front of me, while I was at speed, no signal, nothing. However, being used to being invisible, I'd already come off the power and was grabbing brake levers....I missed him by about a foot. If I'd have been on the hoods, different story.

I must be maturing. I didn't give him the finger, I didn't yell. I just rode on. Jeepers, I'm getting docile.

You have to prove all of that, though...and there are limits; particularly if you have no medical bills to use to prove damages with, and a video showing you weren't badly hurt.

Let's be honest here, that guy isn't a "cyclist." That's a dude who punched the driver in the face and happened to be on a bike. Was the driver justified in using his car? Of course not. But no more justified than calling that guy a cyclist.
