Wow, I feel bad. This is one of the first threads I've seen go so long with out a response. I'm not going, never been to one. Don't even know what it is for that matter. Can you give me some details?

Well, the League of American Bicyclist ( LAB ) is an organization that supports cycling. This is the fifth year that they brought together thousands of bicyclists; industry leaders; transportation, health and environmental professionals; and local, state and federal officials; all of whom are concerned with the future of bicycling. It runs from Wednesday the 16th to Friday the 18th of March in Washington D.C.. There are two days of seminars and then a day on Capitol Hill talking with Congresspersons and even a bike ride with some of our national leaders.

I've never been to one before so I was hoping I could get the lowdown on particulars from someone who has gone before.

Here is information about it from the source;

http://www.bikeleague.org/events/summit05.html

http://www.bikeleague.org/index.cfm

I'm hoping I will be able to maybe get some of the TEA-21 guidelines for improvements to our highways etc. to change from guidelines to mandated requirements.

Where abouts are you? Can you show up for just one of the days? I live in New Mexico but am working in Virginia, it's so close to DC I just couldn't not go while I am here.

I live in jersey. That week in march is my spring break, unfortuantly I already had plans to be hiking. Ironically I'll be hiking in VA, so depending on when we cut our trip I might be able to swing by for the last day. Which day are you going?
