Cyclist killed in 3 State 3 Mountain Challenge Ride

It's been raining all day today in Chattanooga and Ochs Highway is a downhill road coming off Lookout Mountain. A lot of last-minute cancellations because of the rain.

RIP to the cyclist, and my condolences to their family.

RIP.

Don't know the event. A race? A century?

Yes, it's a century. 3 states (Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia) 3 mountains (Raccoon, Sand, and Lookout)

Here's an update: https://www.timesfreepress.com/news/2...3-state-event/

Damn. Three miles short.

On a curvy descent in the rain.

Everyone who's ridden for a while knows what it feels like when a wheel loses traction or you can't hold your line (or picked the wrong line) in a situation like that. Some of us have just been careful and lucky, so far.

Condolences to the rider's loved ones, and to the poor folks in the car.

He was a team mate of mine. I can't say I knew him well, however.

RIP, Antonio will be missed.
