Cycle Year Round
A prime example of the level of quality and usefulness Bek expects from bicycle facilities.

mabye CBHI would like New Orleans to post traffic police along the MUPs, keep the pedestrians to one side -the people joey maligns as 'morons and idiots' for JoeyBike's benefit.
there's something moronic depicted in the video, and It's interesting how the opinions on "where" that is differs.
oh, its awful, isn't it? A park puts a MUP through it, and it presents daunting bicycle maneuvering "issues" for some of the bicyclists.
I have serious doubts any path markings as being regulatory; they're likely an advisory marking with no real regulatory structure to require pedestrians to walk to the right of a MUP.
Ever ridden the Golden Gate Bridge? Yeah, the cyclists think the pedestrians shouldn't be in the way. Or those bridges in NYC, how dare the pedestrians walk on the bike side!

No, I simply responded to another poster, who like you, has problems comprehending the thread. He said the OP should avoid peak hours and I simply told him the OP was commuting and did not have the luxury of picking times he commutes.
Most in this thread understood that, but not you.

I wouldn't say it was a comprehension thing for me, I was under the impression he was thinking about taking it for commuting and then making a statement on the peds inabilities to follow the signs. Then made a video during peak hours to make a statement, which seems backwards if he is trying to say people are being a hazard during his riding time.
I am sorry I didn't get a doctorate in literary works and comprehension (obviously like you have) and instead work in the automotive field.

IQ rankings in the USA by state:
49. LOUISIANA......................................... .................95.3 [average IQ]
50. MISSISSIPPI....................................... .................94.2 [average IQ]

These are AVERAGE IQs which means HALF of them are dumber than that! (George Carlin)
I live in Louisiana and only 60 miles from Mississippi. Trust me, they are morons.

At least as I see it someone lacking smarts is not as bad as someone who simply does not care in the slightest about anyone else.
But I'm also inclined to think the designers are morons or a committee. The path as shown with the 10MPH limit you asserted earlier makes no sense. One directional bike lane with no return? Now if the bike part had a MINIMUM speed of 15 MPH it would make sense in a twisted way. E.g. a dedicated part for hammerheads training and all slower traffic, bikes and peds in the other half. A very twisted sense, but more logical than what they have. (Stop and think, just where should a pedestrian going the same direction as the bike part be in that 2 way mess).
