Why is it cynical? Most American urban police departments are overwhelmed by homicides and drug crimes - that's why a single detective will often a case that have an entire team working on it in Europe and the legal system relies on forcing plea bargains in the large majority of criminal cases to work. New York has something like 4-5x the numbers of murders that London has - and fewer police.

Do I need to explain it to you? You say those who have means get justice in NYC? That's a broad statement. Do you even live around here man?

Additionally, London vs. NYC are not comparable examples. Other than #'s of people. And being a megalopolis. You give the urban populations in London easier access to firearms and you'll probably see an uptick in homicides.

Coached when my kids were growing up. Pretty sad seeing how unattended some kids are. Mentor one in need and you can make a change in a life.

Indeed, I think the main problem is family education.

You have an odd definition of "typical use". At least I know you have nothing when you go to a court tv video to try and prove your claims.

We have an example how even bear spray is not always going to stop even an animal, much less a sentient being capable of ignoring pain/discomfort/etc... Not that I expect that to change the minds of Internet warriors...

https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...rist-in-Alaska

The wolf was sprays more than once, yet still kept attacking... Of course, no group of punk kids could do that much...

Please feed punk kids to Alaskan wolves. No amount of waving "signs", posturing or acting tuff will deter such a beastie. That said- having seen them on the highway - they're BIG. Not dog-like either. Would gobble up a small kid in a minute.

Punk kids are hardly a mother wolf protecting her cubs. But I don't expect an internet know it all to understand that.

Mother wolf? So now you are simply inventing 'facts' out of thin air to provide some justification for your absurd claims...

No weapon? What do you call the glass? And maybe he has had MA training. I know a few well trained guys who could eat those 3 cops for lunch. I thought the cops went pretty easy on him and I'm no fan of most cops.

NO, that is clear animal behaviour, but as expected, you are clueless in such matters.

Since bear spray has no impact on you, why not go down to your local police academy and volenteer to be the assault dummy attacking cadets while they spray you.

You can video it to prove how manly you are.

My father-in-law was carjacked in a park area by a guy with a 45. He knew it was a 45 when it was pointed at him because that was his army/aircorp issue. A political shaker and Police Athletic League executive, the cops knew his car and so did the kids when they were asked 'Who was driving that car?' They pointed out the house and had the guy in a matter of hours. Not a bad thing to be involved in your community.

It really angers me too here this. Its not acceptable and the police have too get off their asses and do something about it

Touchy aren't you? You do seem to have some issues identifying whats real and what your just imagining...

Imagined:
<ul>
<li>That the wolf in the article I pointed to was female, a mother, had cubs in the vicinity</li>
<li>That I have claimed that bear spray (or pepper spray) will always have no effect on me or anyone else</li>
<li>That I have made any statements as to my 'manliness'</li>
</ul>

Real:
<ul>
<li>OP situation: Multiple assailants in an open air situation, possibly from multiple directions. In short the worst possible scenario for pepper spray to be effective.</li>
<li>Several actual examples of pepper spray being used where it had little to no effect on assailants...</li>
<li>That you seem to like ad hominum and other logical fallacies (look up if you don't understand)</li>
</ul>

Have a nice day CB.

Oh and yes, Your right CB, Of course CB, Anything you say CB...

Just a good public service idea. Why would you call that being touchy? Use your special skills and help your police department out.
