News Channel Comment Section After Bike Hits Squad Car
Bike rider clearly at fault, not my point, this is a example of the comments that follow a bike-motor vehicle collision.

You're better than I am if you can read the comments of any news article. They run from the gutter to the cesspool rather quickly in my experience. I just don't read them anymore.

Looks like Des Moines needs some help from bicycle advocates. And maybe some rider education, as this sounds like a ninja cyclist who ran a stop sign.

Let them rant all they want, It's a healthy outlet. Used to be haters hated blacks and Jews, then with the Vietnam war, they moved to the anti-war youth and hippies in general, later *****exuals. As each group survived and prevailed despite hate (or maybe because of it) haters had to move on to new targets.
These days it's not PC to express hate or anger, and haters have all that bottled up vitriol. If ranting about demon bicyclists allows some of that to vent, it's good for everybody. As a cyclist, I'll continue to run red lights, and consider it a social service. Think of all the wives and children that won't get beat because they can rant about me instead.
