Almost had an A&S fight yesterday...

so there I was, minding my own business, cruising along on bikeforums, when I came upon a group of A&Sers arguing...

Did they tell you that you were wrong, and each ones own version is the only right way? Unless of course a few agreed with each other, then did they gang up on you with their interwebz bullying skills when they should have been out riding their bikes?

Heads up.

If you are "wandering" around in A&S, you are definitely NOT minding your own business unless this is your first day here.

"So there I was officer, minding my own business at a biker bar known for illicit drug activity at 2:30 AM when this huge brawl started between to motorcycle clubs and some people got stabbed."

Same thing, only the stabbing is virtual and certain words are blocked at A&S.

That is why I always take the lane and wear a helmet and wait for every traffic signal!

Heads up, indeed. Did you hear a whistling sound above you, a few minutes ago? Might even have mussed your hair up.

All things are relative. I have been spending some time posting and reading in Trollheim - A&S is like a church service compared to that madhouse.

That gang is like a bunch of school kids that just learned about the shock value of using "dirty" words in combination with learning how to write them on a bathroom wall or spell them out on a keyboard. Juveniles at play.

A&S is like reading Shakespeare in comparison.

Yep,

Every once in a while I check my abuse levels. When I find that I am running a bit low I post to A&S.

OP needs to take "Almost" out of the thread title and then it would be more accurate.

So are we all in agreement yet on how many angels can dance on the head of a pin?

There should also be dedicated A&S infrastructure for those who prefer to segregate themselves as 'cruising along' A&S vs. those who claim they are regular A&S traffic.

Who would claim that distinction? That would be like someone claiming they always ride a bike, and never would drive, because he/she is too poor or too cheap, too ignorant, disabled, incompetent or in some other way unable or unwilling to drive. Those bogus reasons for bicycling are only Urban Legends, and bicycling is only done for altruistic reasons by lithe, beautiful people concerned with the welfare of future generations. Conversely anyone who drives a car for any reason is an obese couch potato too lazy to club baby seals themselves.
