Velo Vol,

Do you think that group rides only take place during daylight hours? I used to ride with a group twice a week and our rides ALWAYS ended after dark.

Quite... maybe he thought it was karma for hitting that pedestrian. Maybe - just maybe he might be a little more careful from now on.

...

NAH.

unapologetic necro...

Anyone ever hear what happened in the criminal case against the cab driver Sam Chandler? Or if Brunelle was ever sued by the woman he hit?

I noticed that Brunelle is still posting riding videos (apparently he's now in Miami). Can't find any news about the Chandler case beyond the bail hearing in November of 2014.

$1,000....All the cab driver would have to do is get a bunch of long distance cab fares from Logan International Airport and he would be able to pay the fine easy.

BUT HE COMMITTED ATTEMPTED MURDER!!! Does the judge care, no!!!!

$1000 was the bail, not a fine. Unless you've found the ruling in the case. If so, please provide a link.

Not condoning the incident...

But San Diego does a "Midnight Madness Bike Ride" each year...

Part of the fun is how outrageously you light yourself... and wearing of pajamas...

The media reports newsy stuff, never the boring judicial plodding (unless of course, the accused is a celebrity). If you want to find out what happened, look for online court records.

That's a valid point, but I wouldn't say 'never'. Court rulings are commonly reported in the news. But maybe not for a case of a bicyclist hitting a woman and a cabbie beating the snot out of him.

Might want to stay out of Tulsa, then. Apparently they're trying to conserve ammo.

I hope that the cyclist takes a lesson, not from the beating, but from the fact that he's putting pedestrians at risk. If he had really injured or killed someone then I think his own videos would be enough to throw the book at him.
youre confusing reckless with skillful
