The fairing is made from coroplast sheeting and their windows from polycarbonate. Their chassis is a cro-mo spaceframe. Total weight is 50lbs. I estimate that this vehicle cost, at the most, $4000Aus to construct. It's simple yet effective. Blueshift just prove you don't need to spend big money to go fast.
I just don't think it will hold up to a 12" subwoofer though...ah well, Back To The Boombox!

The bike itself isn't too "alt" (besides the 6-gear ratio fixed/free drivetrain setup) but the bike stereo was no-cost (well, low-cost) frankenbuilding at it's finest:

Here's the stereo off the bike. The speakers and sub are just computer audio gear I dug out of my works' de-provisioning bin. With about $8 in radioshack and diy store components, a UPS battery, drill and a soldering station I turned it into this:

Here's the view from the back of the thing (showing the sub):

And here's how I rigged it to hook onto my rack using spare Axiom pannier hardware:

    I'm calling it Frankenstereo 1000!!!

    $175

It's damn mint. one tiny little chip on the toptube, air in the tyres and tightened the front fender and it was ready to go.

I'm building (sooner or later, winter's coming on) a lightweight custom fairing with a used Vetter windshield and the Delco UX-1 "Symphony Sound" cassette I repaired and used in a couple of my GM cars and the battery, lighting/relay, switches and some storage space will be there also and lockable plus the connector to charge. I'll probably run the rear wiring through the tank. I've got 5" full range speakers to build in also and weatherproof, and they go inside where I can close the bay and protect them.

I'm not really sure how motorcycle fairings are mounted but I know bikes aren't the same at all so right now I have to deal with adding on to the bottom of the fork. I have seen at least one example but I don't know how he did it. I will have to look and ask him.

I don't want to start a new thread, but has anyone here made a road bike with sissy bars, if not you should. (Doesn't just have to be the bars)

Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.

My latest (excuse the background mess):

Still a long way to go, longer cables on everything, painted fork, decals removed, road tires, minor paint touch-ups, grips, derailer repair, etc.

dude, tripleC, i saw the hate in the fgss forum and frankly, everything you build is awesome. that's one of the best looking tall bikes i've ever seen, and definitely the first one I'VE seen with gearing.
before posting, a "noob" should always ask themselves "could this have been answered by first visiting Sheldon Brown

Definitally THE best tall bike I've ever seen, well done as far as frame matching, headtube extension, gearing and overall fabrication. Nicely done. I've got one in the works, but I want to keep it quiet until its done.

Triple C's tallbike is really beautiful work, but I still like frameteam2003's better:
