here's a couple of pics from my recent build. took some playing around to find the right front to balance it out, but it has a 20 inch right now and it's perfect! btw, the tall bike on the last page made out of kids bikes is priceless! i might have to try that one soon.

a couple of the latest projects while i'mhere with photobucket up
for a buildoff on ratrod. tried to make a lighter cruiser than my regular stretches. it is lighter, but that's not saying much
a for fun idea i got from someone else. take a little bike and add parts from a bigger bike to it. in this case a 20 mountain bike with 26" suspension pieces. need to decide on a rear shock to finish it.
a much earlier bike i kind of messed up, now i'm playing with it as a bagger project

Thanks,
After some needed changes and modifications, these bikes are very easy to ride and they draw a lot of attention when we take them out.

This is a dot-matrix picture of my velomobile creation. I got a digital camera and a flatbed scanner for Christmas.
here's a shot from the 10 megapixel camera, showing the latest mods, a set of rear panniers.
the panniers are made of "coroplast" - corrugated plastic, from an election campaign ad. The rack is two steel tubes, 1/2" by 3/4" by 28" long. I used large fender washers and some blue loctite to hold it together. the rear markwer lights and turn signals had to be removed to install the panniers, I have the batteries removed too, they are not holding a charge for more than 20 minutes.
Happy New Year! May 2010 bring the most radical, eye-popping bike ever seen!

Subject: Bike Riding...5 miles a day
Subject: Bike Riding...5 miles a day
Don't you think it's time we all became more physically active?
Beginning Jan. 1st,a few friends & I will be riding 5 miles every day.
If any of you would like to join our Bike Club, please let me know
and we can make arrangements.
I think it would be appropriate to ride somewhere between 4:00 and 7:00 pm.
We can call it "happy hour", and pick you up on the way.
Let me know if this works for you.
I have attached a photo of my bike....

Check out this motorized folder that will do 30MPH
I just saw this older Dahon on CL. Interesting motor kit on it.

I have similar plans for my 1979 Schwinn Spitfire 5. I already have a muscle bike 5 speed stick shift and Kenda Flame tires ready for it. As you can see there is no chrome left on the rims, but they are still very sound. I plan to paint them primer red.
