1950 Black Phantom
Some old some new pieces,1950 Phantom,free after selling rear whell that was a middle weight with a 2 speed red band hub,put it together with parts i had on hand,all the schwinn are orig,check out the rare schwinn front rim brakes,has nexus 3 speed rear hub,electra wide alum wheels,235 black diamond tires,the 2 red things on the handle bars are antenna toppers use on hot rod cars,gonna figure out how to light em,hope u like it!!

now, unlike the "pretty colored" full custom another member is building as a "rat rod", THAT is a 100% authentic at that rat rod!!! just make sure to get some white wall tires when you rebuilt it and you will see hot rodders drooling even at *cough cough cough* car shows. LOL
as per the ratrod aesthetic... you don't even really need to restore it once you get rid of those brakes as mentioned.

That's not a cheap brake.
mounting the brakes probably ruined the patina of the forks

caliper brakes have NO PLACE on a beach cruiser, ESPECIALLY an "authentic vintage one". even on modern ones designed to use them, they totally screw the aesthetics up. hand brakes are for performance bike (eg. MTBs & roadies), not simple one speed coaster brake cruisers.

I like front brakes when riding on the street. They look okay to me. That's called accessorizing your bike. That's what hot rodders do!
