Folding bead tire?

Sorry to have to air my ignorance, but...what is it?

I was just at the Kenda site and they have a lot of interesting tires that are made with this type of bead, instead of wire bead. Is it compatible with the common bicycle wheels? Does it have a different mounting/demounting method? Thanks!
