alt bike dictionary/glossary project...

i've been interested in alt bike stuff since i saw my first freak bike diy chopper.

i've built several tallbikes, too many freakbikes to count, and have many more ideas rattling around trying to get out of my head and into my garage.

i've looked thru most of the threads in this forums, and most of the links in those posts...and there's a lot of things like people looking for directions for how to build tallbikes, or choppers, or something.

i've also seen several mentions of common mods to things with a name. the one that comes to mind is somewhere johnny payphone referred to a "bonnie and clyde", which, if memory serves, is one wheel turning another simply using the friction from the tires rubbing together, kinda like the back wheel setup on this one:

anyway, it would be cool to see a list of different techniques, and people's names for them...

It's a good notion.

The ratbike contingent probably has a few bits of verbage to offer. I'm thinking like "boardtracker", which is a cantilever frame, often one with angular bends in the top tube(s), built up to resemble a 1920s racing motorcycle.
