having problems

My bendix 2-speed kick-back hub is acting up. It's making odd noises in low gear, and locks up when you start braking. I just had it rebuilt too. Is there a complete wheel somewhere on the web that I can buy that has internal gears, 26"?

I have no doubts there are complete wheels yo can buy with a variety of geared hubs. I was happy with my Shimano Hexus hub.

Sounds like they may have used the wrong kind of grease in your hub.

there's plenty of Sturmey Archer 3 speed IGH's on Ebay. I just picked up a 27" wheelset with a 3 speed in the rear hub for like 50 bux on ebay. I saw 26's on there too. The 3 speed hubs by themselves were going for 20 bux and you could have it laced to a 26" rim at a local bike shop for 50 bux.

Hmm, I'll start an ebay excursion then. I wish this hub would've worked out, no cables to mess with.
