LMAO, "what happens if I brake hard?"
Answer: you eat *****.
They say you can "easily jump off the front of the yike bike"... which is apparently a good thing if you're trying NOT to run into whatever's in FRONT of you... hmm.

Here's video of one being ridden.

I want to make one for myself, but damn it just looks like it'll throw you off every time you try to stop.
Much safer with the bars under your legs than over top of them, though.
As for the Yike...it's probably a superior design to other stand-up electric scooters, but the price is laughable.
ps: Payphone vs Yike would make a great lawsuit.

It's surprising that they did it big wheel in front. The small front wheel ordinaries were far more endo proof.

Completely Useless
That thing only goes 12 mph and can only go 6.2 miles, then it has to charge for half an hour! What a joke.

6.2 miles is a hell of a lot farther than I'd ride it.
And would you really want to go faster than 12mph on it?
Kidding aside, those numbers are probably fine given its intended use for "too far to walk, not far enough to drive" trips. The price is still double or triple what the market will support, though.
