    paint and decoration epiphany !

the one thing i love to do as a build finishes off, is the paint and bike `theme` !
whilst looking for designs, i was initially thinking stickers, then decals, then....it struck me !
    temporary tattoos !

water slide temporary tats, dab on to top coat, allow to dry, then laquer !
so easy, some awesome designs, and a great looking end product, and cheap too !
some companies offer a `design your own service` too.

with my redbull racer, i had to get some decal paper, and got local print shop to laser print my redbull designs onto the paper, but tattoos are so much easier !

hope this helps someone else out, and as always, post pics !

Has anyone tried this? I figured out on my artcar that you could use just about anything for paint so long as it got a layer of clearcoat.

gonna do a few tests first, but as long as ya make sure your frame colour and transfer colour are gonna work, will work better on lighter colour paints, then laquer or clearcoat to seal, should be a nice cheap easy fix for good effect !

it will be interesting to see how UV resistant they are. Temp tatoos are just that temporary, they may not resist sun-fade very well, or... they might I'll be curious to know.

I know from my car that craft paints bleach within a couple months but remain stable for long periods with some clearcoat.

maybe i'll just ride in the shade.....

had a quick go tonight, with some cheapo tats, sprayed up a piece of tube, wet and dabbed tat, dried off, clear coated a few coats, look good.
longevity, not so sure i'm that worried, lol !
