Sun Spider AT bicycle

I ordered a Sun Spider AT to start getting ready to ride this winter. It arrived yesterday after I got home from work it was on the front porch, as luck would have it I had today off so I could ride it some after I put it together last night.
here are a few pictures.

This has the kick back hub for two gears and a coaster brake, getting the hang of that, but have found out that I can quickly out peddle direct drive with those tires being 31 inches tall and that front chain ring being only 25 t and the rear being 20

I am not sure how those hubs are suposed to work, but it does make a racket when you go into low gear, and when braking hard.

Is it a Sturmey Archer hub? Search the Classic and Vintage forums: A few people have used these and have made comments on maintenance, problems, and the like.

I made a back fender and modified a rear rack the other day!
The fender is the front fender from a dirt bike, the rack was from torker cargo bike that I had to cut and do some brazing on,

You should repost this in the winter riding forum if you haven't already.

Sun bicycles are brick-and-mortar sales only, for the most part. They might ship replacement parts to your home address tho'.

There is only one place online that has ever sold Sun bicycles to my knowledge (they had SOME of the recumbents for sale, but not even all of them) and I dunno what the deal with that place was.

Every time I wanted to get one of those, Sun was out of stock with them... Totally jealous of your Spider.
