Using a bicycle shock absorber for piercing

Phuket, Thailand: A devotee of the Chinese Bang Neow Shrine with a bicycle shock absorber piercing his cheek. During the annual Vegetarian festival religious devotees slash themselves with swords, pierce their cheeks with sharp objects and commit other painful acts to purify themselves, taking on the sins of the community.

That man looks like he is Heavily Dosed on Morphine, or some other Opiate Drugs.

And it looks more like a Motorcycle Shock Absorber.

Kids, Do NOT try this stunt at home.

While I am a PC type of guy and aware of the need to celebrate diversity and the beauties of other cultures, this guy is a moron. Hit myself with a hammer the other day; I sure as hell didn't feel purified.

And it looks more like a Motorcycle Shock Absorber.
