My Project
I don't weld so I'm tied to bolt-ons. Started as a Schwinn that someone best up, spray painted (the entire bike) and then put out on a curb.
Well, it's not free anymore and I'm not done as I'm still looking for more chrome and will re-paint it as well. A tank would be cool too.

Details, man!
Is that a modern Taiwan/Chinese Schwinn? As the price of Chicago Schwinns rises & the supply dwindles, we will now turn our attention to the unclassics. Just picked up a Schwinn Clear Creek that needs something extra.

It's a "modern" Schwinn though with the crappy re-spray it certainly looked old. The wheels were sprayed green but were aluminum rims.
No "classic" was disturbed in making this ride though since I'm only doing bolt-ons there's not a whole lot of disturbing anyways.
The springer fork came from my LBS and I don't know the source beyond that. Same for the fenders and stem and the bars came from the Electra catalog. The wheels are Alienation Plain Black Rims (in white ).
I know for many the idea is to get out the torch and "build yer own" and that this is more of a custom mod job than a true build but I'm having fun. Also, I'm going for the "Oooooh shiny" effect. Hence the chrome; with more to come.
