gilligan's taxi

yeah, i'm nuts, but i love it!
i vaguely recall seeing a rear shot as he was hauling the howells around and it had a rope instead of a chain. not sure that would work- slippage.

Don't recall that episode, in fact I recall very few episodes of Gilligan's Island. There must have always been something better to watch or do, because all I remember doing is upon hearing or seeing the opening song/credits, is either changing the channel or turning the TV off all together.

Mary Ann... mmmmm.

Ms Wells is still beautiful at 72... I call it a no contest between her and Ginger.

Even though Ginger was the "glamor girl" on the show, (and quite hot) I along with you and the majority of viewers consistently favored Mary Ann.

She (Dawn wells) played against type and did it quite well... Ginger (Tina Louise) was considered one of the most beautiful women of her era and the most beautiful red head to ever grace the big screen by many.

Sorry guys, I'm a dedicated Ginger guy. Watch the video and tell me Ginger is not the hottest of hot:

had an ex-GF ask me if I rather have Maryanne or Ginger. My answer was I'd marry Mrs. Howell, chop her head off & inherit the money. Then I'd marry Maryanne and keep Ginger on the side.

Wrong answer.

Tina Louise was an accomplished dancer and singer... when the series ran Natalie Shafer was already in her mid 60's and still stunning looking. She was very secretive about her age and told people she was born in 1912 when she really had been born in 1900.

In the show she asked that they write her character in as a bit of a ditz and she played it so very well.

Not that Tina Louise was not smoking hot...

Then here's one for you, the stunts aren't very realistic by today's standards, but what red blooded male was watching the stunts anyway. Dame Rigg's looks may have faded, but to me, she'll always be Mrs. Peel.

I saw her nude on stage in L.A. She played Heloise in Abelard and Heloise.

And finally getting this thread on topic. Here is Gilligan on an alt-bike. Looks like a bamboo frame. It may be a scraper trike.

So, assuming that the cast are normal adults, who were Mary Ann and Ginger going steady with?

I vote for Mary Ann and the Professor, but can't figure out who Ginger chose.

Usually the studios keep them, for a while at least. Once I went to an auction of hollywood memorabilia at the Ambassador Hotel in L.A. They had all kinds of stuff including the Uncle Martin's spaceship from My Favorite Martian and Professor Fate's car from The Great Race.

Mary Ann was the cute girl next door and (forgive my crudeness) totally do-able, but Ginger was the hottness! she almost had it all going on in one sweet package! only flaw....shes not Asian. (thats totally a personal preference )
