All done! Might play with the seat a little, not sure if I like how it sits, but LOVE how the bike turned out for my first build. Can't wait to get started on the next one!

Cut my fender, but it's not done.

Getting ready to strip it all back apart so I can strip the old paint.

It has a right side door for batteries and a horn, tools...mine wraps around the head tube with a light but with your springer setup you can just terminate and run wires through the front.

Very cool build. I admire your tear down and assembling it they way you wanted. Great work.

That is great news. Im am around 200lb. Precisely between 95 and 100 kilo.
May I ask you how you have built the saddle post? Or did you ever consider selling such posts?
Since the posts I found are only good up to 170lb.

If you're still out there, Turrok, it looks like your basic 'seven' post.

ratrod? nawwwwww... what you have there is a full on kustom sonny
not only that, but REAL rat rods have only 4 colors... flat black, red rims, whitewalls and chrome
THIS is what a REAL rat rod looks like...
nuthin' fancy, well... except them poser flames
now looking through a few more posts at another member's potential ride, this is TOTALLY a rat rod!!!
all it needs is some whitewalls and to have the front brake removed and it will truly be a down-n-dirty rat rod. i bet the wheels aren't original though

Amazing project, can't wait to see the next step. Sea foam green is a beautiful colour. I agree on the springer front end, it makes it imo. T

There was an unwritten rule on RatRodBikes. NEVER discuss what a rat rod is! A rat rod has no real defined meaning. What is a rat rod to some, may not be a rat rod to others..
I know this is an older thread, but just in case CBURKE23 checks in.
@CBURKE23, you built a great bike. If it's a rat rod to you..it's a rat rod. Your metal work and TIG are exceptional. CBURKE23, I aplogize, I never post pics of my bikes in someone else's thread, without being asked. This is the first time I felt the need.
This bike was picked for the cover of RatRodBikes 2012 calendar. It even has "poser" flames!...I think it's in great company with your bike.

WOW I haven't been on here in forever lol.
A "Rat Rod" is what you make it. Has nothing do to with "Colors" lol.
This bike is long gone. I only build from scratch now. You can see my latest build on the cover of
Kustomized Bicycle Magazine Custom Bicycle

kustomizedbicyclemagazine, is where the best customs on the planet end up! Good for you. That bike is beyond words gorgeous.....Maybe you should put a 1" square of primer somewhere on the bike and we can call it a rat rod!
I hope members here click on the link you posted.

I knew it was an old thread. It seemed that you were getting beaten up a little for YOUR rat rod.

Wow... from the Huffy in this thread to that STUNNING magazine spread in less than 3 years. It goes to show what time and commitment to a craft can accomplish. Bravo!
