your not tightening the bolts enough, I cant imagine what else would carry over with dif. bb adn cranks. Are you using a little allen wrench? Use a bar for more leverage or try a torque wrench or socket (or get the LBS to do it)

Once the cranks are snugged down properly on the BB ends, they should not move. The securing bolts need to be TIGHT. Have your LBS do em' properly with a torque wrench.

yea if your using the little allen wrenches, your not getting enough torque on there. When i put on my crankarms i use an automotive torque wrench, this things got 2 feet of leverage and can go up to 150lbs. Overkill for the 29-31lbs my crankarms calls for but gets the job done almost effortlessly

I took it to them and they tightened it, but the day after that it came loose again

Hmm, looks like your crank bolts are vibrating loose. Try some blue loctite, should help.

Hmm, looks like your crank bolts are vibrating loose. Try some blue loctite, should help.Crank bolts don't 'vibrate loose, and don't need loctite if properly tightened. If the crank interface is hosed,it's new cranks.

yeah sounds like the interface is screwed (or the LBS is also undertorqueing
Ideally this means a new crank set, but you might get away with loctite on evrything (ie taper/isis interface & crank bolt) and tighten it down really tight. or you might not.... hope its your left arm

is there anything on a bike you need any sort of loctite for? The only thing i use something remotely like it for is my wheels in which case its spoke prep. I've never put anything besides grease on any bolt on my bike, is this bad?

I don't use it at all... Like you say, a little grease on stuff I'd like to take apart someday.

As to our friend, sounds like the LBS should spring for a new BB, and possibly examine those cranks. Too enthusiastic jumping on a low-end set, perhaps?

Definitely sounds like the square holes are out of shape. If so, no amount of loctite will help.
