General Cycling Discussion - Any hints on making a bicycle wind chime?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I parted out a couple of bikes over the weekend and was about to throw out the (steel) frames.
It occured to me that I could cut up the tubing and, by using other bicycle parts, could make a neat wind chime.
Has anybody ever made a wind chime? Does anybody have any suggestions?

yeah, i have made chimes before, but not out of bike frames. The tubes i used were regular copper tubes you would buy to make water lines in your house, the tubes must be different lengths to make different chimes, and what i did was take a aquare peice of plexiglass, thick, and cut out a pentagon shape, then i cut out a smaller pentagon shape in the middle, i used the big pentagon to hang 5 different tubes(my shortest tube was 6 feet long), and then in the middle, i used the small inner pentagon to use as the ringer, and then put whatever shape at the bottom to catch the wind. If you would like me to draw and mail you plans of what i made, just let me know. Russ
Sure, Russ, send me a drawing. That would be helpful.
uhm...yea.

Personally, for a bike one, i'd hang the tubes from a chainring.
