What are the best tires to get tracktion on gravel rock type steep decents, because my back tire keeps slipping out when I am trying to brake, and I slide down too fast as the rocks are breaking loose. Thanks.
I dont know about the tire, but just try leaning back more, center the weight over your rear wheel and you should get more traction.

Thanks, I didn't think of that? Tires not technique.

well yea technique is probably at fault here. But for the record, the only fault i have found with Ritchey Elevaders are their performance on the pavement :). They are rear specific, cheap as well (15 bucks shipped WITH a tube and presta adapter from Bens cycle on ebay). 1.9 or 2.1 and light.

yea thats true, usually my rear is 30-35. Though sometimes if its dry out and im not going into leafy woods I like to keep it at around 45
