just passed today (dec. 8th) really really friggin fun! wow... even falling in the first mile and losing my damn strap and having to ride fixed for 17 more miles. fun times. def. can't wait to do that when it gets warm.

I heard from a friend of a friend that Frankie Andreu might very well be coming down to ride.
And don't take this personally Tejas, I'm glad Lance came out to ride in Austin, but anyone can be a U.S. cycling champion and ride a tallbike in 60 degree weather. =0)

Well, I guess a lot of people can't because they don't fulfill one or another of the qualifications. Whatever.
Either way, I've got to thank and recognize the ambition of whoever at skidmarxxx brained up the idea to contact Lance, because I imagine that's got to have something to do with this.

At the very least, I think it would be rad to see more public figures of American cycling past/present/future involved with non-professional races and events in the public eye.

Where are the California cats at?


Freeskool Santa Cruz just did a Plan An Alleycat class, so hopefully some stuff will start happening. My friend and I missed it because I was sick and he was hungover.

Mikey C. and K-TRAIN are developing a day's worth of bicycle mayhem. 10 bucks gets you entrance into the main race and gold sprints at night!

Registration is at 2 pm for the 3 pm Best in Show race with all proceeds going to Mr. Brent Emoff whose body and bike were broken in a recent accident. We're going to shoot for a new frame so he can be back climbing the **** out of some hills in short order.

The race will be themed around some rough hills, but with enough strategy involved for those who shiver at the sight of the likes of Straight St. This will be a points race covering much of the downtown, N. Ky, and Clifton areas.

In the night, at the Gypsy Hut, we'll have the debut of Cincinnati's own ROLLER RACING/GOLD SPRINTS/SPINTILYOUDIE MACHINE. After the standard skids, stands, etc. at the finish, we'll head inside to punish all comers on our rollers.

I can't get a big enough flyer for the event, but theres an Alleycat in East Lansing / Lansing MI at 8pm. Registration is outside the Peanut Barrel on Grand river in East Lansing at 7:15. Theres a 5 buck buy in and mens and womens catagorys. Also critical mass meets at 5:30-6 at frandor skatepark on Michigan Ave on the same night.
