Today I helped the Base Youth Center conduct a MTB " day camp" at the local trail( Killer 3) We only did 8 miles, and it took two hours, but the kids had a blast! I had to show them how to use their gears for going up hills or riding on flats, I showed them how to( well, how I do it) ride through sand, and one kid's rear der. got caught in his spokes and was all twisted up. It took me 20 minutes to beat it back into place!
It was great to see the kids outside having fun, it was obvious that most of their time is spent inside watching movies and playing video games. Their bikes were wally world stuff, and weighed more than my road and MTB put together, but the kids made it!
