Hey all,

Just picked up a 04 Trek-3700 and wanted to get some realistic opinions. I know its not really high end but I bought it used in practically new condition for $100. I don't really plan on beating it hard and probably will just stick to the casual dirt and cement trails in my area. Just looking to get some fresh air and excercise and didn't have a lot of extra cash. Anybody, ever have any experience with this bike? Basically, just looking for some honest opinions about its quality. Again, keep in mind, at this point anyway, this bike will just be used on casual trails. Thanks for your input.

I got an '05 model last october. As long as you don't do anything stupid/exetreme it will serve you fine. I have been putting it through some major abuse and i haven't have anything fail on me that wasn't my falut. (IE tacoing the front wheel because my handel bar hit a pole at 18mph)

BTW i payed about 270 for mine. So 100 dollars is a steal

I bought one last year and loved it. I was like you, didn't want to spend alot of $ and wasn't sure how much I'd ride. I rode mine on trails and never had too much of a problem (although I did bend the handlebars). I just traded mine in for a Trek 6700. The 3700 was great because it got me into riding and even MTB racing.
