Trek 830 Steel MTB frame that takes a 1 inch fork needs a headset. Does anyone know if this model takes a 30.0mm or 30.2mm diameter head set?

The fork I picked up for it is a JIS fork, and I am concerned that the headset isn't JIS (30.0 and a 27.0 fork crown race.)

Tom O'Hara30.0 cups are JIS. Trek didn't use JIS.
