Hiyall

I've got a 2000 (I think) Specialized FS Stumpjumper which has a Fox Air Vanilla Float shock. I still think the bike is a sweet ride overall, especially now I've got Fox forks on it, but I wonder if it's worth upgrading the rear shock? I can have it upgraded to Propedal by a tuning outfit, and since my main problem with it is bobbing (especially the annoying squishing noise that goes with it) that seems on the face of it a good idea. But does Propedal do the job? Would I sacrifice much plushness for it? Or has anyone got any other ideas of what I can do with the rear shock - I'm sure technology must have advanced no end in the last five years? I'm 175# and ride XC, no big jumpy stuff.

Thanks
