Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Dura Ace 10-Pitch Track compatibility

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Hey All,
I'm messing around with my first fixed-gear project and I want some vintage cranks. I found a set of Dura Ace 10-Pitch Track cranks and bottom bracket. They have no chain and no chain ring (I hear these are hot comodities). Could I put a different chain ring on them and run a different chain? Could I sub the bottom bracket for a current shimano bottom bracket with Italian threading and still get an ok chainline? Any help would be great! Thanks! :D
What would be the point, if you're going to have a different chainring and chain? I mean, I know they're probably good cranks, but to use just the cranks with everything else different? I would just save the cranks for when you're going to run the whole setup, but that's just me.
People have asked about the 10-pitch chain around here, it sounds like you will be watching ebay for a couple years and dropping a lot of dough when one shows up, unless you find one in a dusty corner of a bike shop.

there was just a thread about this... like last week or so. search. i think the bcd is a wierd one, but if you can find a chainring, you should be ok.

um, the guy that's selling those is a member here. ask him about it. business cycles tech page lists the bcd as 122mm, ink1373 says otherwise, i'm too damn lazy to measure mine to doublecheck (and i don't need to as i've got a full group). long story short: save your time and energy unless you're patient enough to track down the full drivetrain setup (chainring, rear hub, cog, lockring, chain).
and no, i don't have any extra parts.
THanks for the input and the link to that other thread. I did search, but I didn't find that. I guess I'll skip them then. Thanks again.

you wont be able to find a 10 pitch chain
i ended my search for extra links by buying a keirin frame at the t town swap, it fits the group perfectly... but seriously ive been looking for a chain on ebay for the last 6 months with no luck, i think other people are as well

You can buy 122 BCD stronglight chainrings on harris cyclery I believe.

They have a pretty cool drilling pattern on them too (there's no picture there though).
