Hi,

I screwed one of my SPD cleats into my shoe too tightly and stripped the threads in one of the spd mounting holes on the shoe. The cleat still holds, because the other screw is tight. Is there a way to repair the stripped one, or at least make it hold tight again. I was thinking maybe loc-tite might work? Any other ideas?

thanks!

Often the plate in the shoe that the cleat screws into is replaceable. Maybe contact the shoe manufacturer and see if they'll send you a new one?

Never needed to try, but you might find a helicoil that's the right size. www.helicoil.com
